The Mighty Carnospinosaurus was the mightiest dinosaur that ever walked on land. He was large and super scary; with snarly teeth and he definitely smelled. But this dinosaur was the sweetest gentleman who had one small problem. He could never remember his name.

When he was young, the Carnospinosaurus had been given a name. His mommy really liked the name and said it all the time.
“Rashaun!” yelled his mommy. “Can you please stop jumping on your toys!”
“Rashaun! Please don’t ram your horns into the furniture!”
“Rashaun! The floor is not a garbage can!”
“I love you, Rashaun.”
Or had she been calling him Razi? Or maybe it was Reginald. Grrr. Would he ever remember his name?

As he got older, the mighty Carnospinosaurus faced many opponents. There were many dinosaurs who envied his terrifying appearance and scary voice.
In grade school, the Carnospinosaurus met the most terrifying of opponents: a little Brachiosaurus named Sonya. She would always touch his toys without asking. One day, Sonya touched the rock that his daddy had given him. He was so upset; he growled and stormed off in a huff.
“Giddeon,” called Sonya. But, when he turned, little Sonya had lost interest and was playing with one of her friends.
Carnospinosaurus stood there, looking confused. Had Sonya been calling to him?

When it was time to move out on his own, the mighty Carnospinosaurus traveled along what would eventually be the Mediterranean Sea. He was a young and mighty dinosaur who was searching for his mate. Together, they would settle down and have children. As he traveled through Morocco and Algeria, the only females he met had juveniles with them and were not ready to mate.
Along his journey, many dinosaurs had called him Nabil. Others called him Ali, Aazz, or Kahlil. While he did acknowledge and appreciate these compliments, they never quite sounded like his name.
On the coastline of Algeria, he met a Carnospinosaurus named Carissa. When they met, the whole world felt complete. She would call him David. It was this name that he would cherish and take on as his own.
They did settle near where they met and soon became parents. Their children would call him Aba. This name carried great weight; however, it was not his birth name.

When David was notified of his parents’ passing, it was decided that he would return to his family’s home and settle their affairs.
After traveling for five days, David arrived at his family’s home. When he walked in, memories of his childhood washed over him.
“Akhi, Akhi, you stink,” David recalled his sister saying as she waved her hand underneath her plugged nose.
Shaking the memory from his mind, David began in his parent’s room. While going through the paperwork his mother kept, he found his birth certificate.
Finally, David saw his birth name: Kenji Dawoud.
This name was instantly recognized by David, and he held out hope that he would remember it. He put the certificate in his knapsack just to be certain that the name would not be lost to time.
