Today, I will tell a tale about how Bunny celebrates his favorite holiday: Family Day.

Bunny Rabbit is a snow bunny who grew up in the North Pole with his parents and twelve brothers and sisters. His wasn’t the largest family but there was enough love for each to treasure for a lifetime.
As the years went by, each of the thirteen little bunnies would leave their home for Bunny University. It was at university that they would learn how to be the bestest of friends to their forever friends. When the last of the bunnies left home, mommy and daddy bunny (as is bunny tradition) went to live with their eldest son, Bunny.
The little bunnies called their parents every night and, every Sunday, the whole family have dinner together via video conference. Once a year, the Rabbit family take leave from their forever friends and return home to the North Pole. They make this trip to celebrate the biggest day of the whole entire year: Family Day.
Throughout the year, the Rabbit home lies empty but, in the weeks leading to the big day, life began to return to their normally dormant home. With the arrival of each little bunny, the shelves would be dusted, the floors washed, and a fire lit in the hearth.

This particular year, Bunny’s daddy was the first to arrive. When he got home, he began airing the place out and gathering food. The next to arrive were Bunny and his mommy, and, finally, Bunny’s twelve brothers and sisters trickled in. At long last, the Rabbit home was merry again.
On the big day, Bunny’s mommy woke early to start making the dinner. On this year’s menu was fuzzy moss soup, silverweed pasta with lichen pesto, and rumex bannock, with berries for dessert and dandelion tea. As the little bunnies got up, they hopped into the kitchen to investigate the smell and to offer their help.
With the help of the little bunnies, the table was set, the food prepped, and the house tidied. After a full year of anticipation, the Rabbit’s Family Day dinner was ready to be served.
After washing up, the bunnies gathered around the table. They each expressed their gratitude for all that led them there that day and for being able to celebrate with their family.
The Rabbit’s joyous Family Day dinner continued until it was time for bed. As the bunnies curled into their beds, peace settled into their hearts.
