Today I will tell a tale about three friends (Purple Bunny, Squirrel, and Cuddle Bear) who were reunited and went fishing.

One year, Purple Bunny decided to spend the summer with her parents in Mexico. In the early days of August, she and her mommy were peeling carrots, when the phone rang.
“Hello,” Purple Bunny’s mommy answered.
“Hello, is Purple Bunny there please?” It was Cuddle Bear, one of Purple Bunny’s dearest friends from Canada.
“She is. Just one second,” said Purple Bunny’s mommy as she handed Purple Bunny the phone.
“Hello,” said Purple Bunny.
“Hi Purple Bunny, it’s me, Cuddle Bear. Squirrel fixed his time machine and we’re wondering if you might want to join us. We’re going to find a Spinosaurus.”
‘Um…’ thought Purple Bunny, ‘my mommy is making delicious carrot soup, but it has been so long since I’ve seen my friends. Plus, can I really turn down an opportunity to see a Spinosaurus?’
“Okay,” said Purple Bunny “let me check with my mommy.”
Purple Bunny laid the phone down and found her mommy. She said that it okay for her to go so long as she did not play with the Spinosaurus and was home in time for dinner.
“Yay!” said Purple Bunny. She picked up the phone and told Cuddle Bear that she could go on an adventure.
“Excellent, we’ll be there shortly to get you,” said Cuddle Bear as he hung up the phone.

While she waited, Purple Bunny packed some snacks and water. She only had to wait a few minutes before there was a knock on the door. It was Squirrel and Cuddle Bear.
Purple Bunny said to her mommy that she was off.
“Be careful. I love you,” said her mom as she gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Once they were outside, the three friends gave each other a great big bear hug and entered the time machine.
“Everybody strap themselves in,” said Squirrel as he punched in 100 million years ago into the dashboard. With a zippity zap, the friends and their time machine disappeared.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oomph went the time machine as it landed. Squirrel checked that his friends were safe and opened the door. Light shone in and a beautiful landscape was revealed. The friends emerged and stretched their legs.
They had landed at the top of a hill and below was a lake that glistened in the sun. The was no dinosaurs as far as they could see.
“Spinosaurus’ eat fish,” said Cuddle Bear. “What if we were to have a picnic down by the lake and wait?”
“That sounds like fun,” said Purple Bunny.
“Let’s go,” said Squirrel.
Cuddle Bear took the picnic basket out of the machine and the friends set off down the hill.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When the three friends got to the shore, Purple Bunny spread out the blanket as Cuddle Bear and Squirrel laid out the food. Suddenly, the friends felt the ground shake and out of the trees a mighty Spinosaurus appeared.
Remembering that her mommy told her not to play with any Spinosaurus’, Purple Bunny and her friends retreated to the safety of the woods. They watched as the dinosaur entered the water and dove beneath the surface. When it came up, they could see it was chewing a mouthful of fish. It did this a few times until it was satiated and let two fish fall to the ground.
The Spinosaurus stayed on the shore enjoying the sun until another load roar was heard. The dinosaur got to its feet quickly and went toward the terrifying sound.
With the Spinosaurus out of sight, Cuddle Bear went to the shore and picked up the abandoned fish. Then, with great haste, the three friends returned to the safety of the time machine.
Squirrel entered the present date as quickly as his fingers could move. With a zippity zap, the three friends left the time of the dinosaurs behind and returned to Purple Bunny’s home.

Oomph went the time machine as it landed. Not wanting their time together to be over, Purple Bunny invited her friends in for dinner.
“My mommy is making carrot soup,” she said.
“Maybe we could cook these fish too,” said Cuddle Bear grabbing the two scavenged fish.
“I can’t see why not,” said Purple Bunny.
The three friends went inside Purple Bunny’s house and showed her mommy their spoils. She was so glad that everyone was safe and gave each of them a great big hug and kiss.
While Purple Bunny’s mommy prepared dinner, the three friends told her all about their impromptu fishing trip. Purple Bunny’s mommy was so proud of her little girl and her brave friends.
